The purpose of these terms is to stipulate the fundamental conditions for the use of the "Gieok English" service provided by Tooofar, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company").
The purpose of these terms is to stipulate the fundamental conditions for the use of the "Gieok English" service provided by Tooofar, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"). Since the Company provides lecture content, payment, and course management through a partnership with a third party, these terms are limited to the use of the Company's "Gieok English" website.
The terms used in this agreement are defined as follows:
"Service": Refers to all general services available through the Company's website, regardless of the device (PC, mobile phone, etc.) the user is accessing it from. The Company's website primarily provides service information and promotional functions, while actual content usage, payment, and course enrollment are carried out on the partner company's website.
"User": Refers to a customer who accesses the Company's service and uses the services provided by the Company in accordance with these terms. The Company's website does not have a separate registration process.
"Content": Refers to online lectures and other related information provided on the partner company's website.
"Operator": Refers to a person selected by the Company to manage and ensure the smooth operation of the service.
"Partner Company": Refers to a company that has a partnership with the Company and is responsible for the actual sales, payment, and course management of "Gieok English" lectures.
The Company posts the contents of these terms on the initial service screen or a separate connected screen so that users can easily understand them.
The Company may amend these terms within the scope that does not violate relevant laws, such as the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Information and Communications Network Act").
When the Company amends these terms, it will announce the effective date and reasons for the amendment along with the previous terms on its website from at least 7 days before the effective date. However, if the terms are changed in a way that is disadvantageous to the user, the Company will provide a grace period of at least 30 days.
If a user continues to use the service after the effective date of the amendment as per Paragraph 3, it is considered that the user has agreed to the amended terms.
Matters not specified in these terms or their interpretation will be governed by relevant laws or commercial practices.
Matters related to the use, payment, and refund of "Gieok English" content are governed by the terms and policies of the partner company's website.
The Company complies with relevant laws and its Privacy Policy to protect the personal information of users. The privacy policy of a partner company applies to linked websites other than the Company's official website.
If the Company needs to notify a user, it may do so by posting the notice on its website, unless otherwise stipulated in these terms.
The Company does not engage in acts prohibited by relevant laws and these terms, or acts that are against public morals, and will do its best to provide stable services.
The Company must have a security system in place to protect personal information, and must post and comply with its Privacy Policy to ensure users can use the service safely.
As a rule, the Company will not disclose or distribute a user's personal information to a third party without their consent. However, exceptions are made in cases where a government agency requests it in accordance with legal regulations or other relevant laws.
The Company must handle opinions or complaints raised by users regarding the use of the service if they are deemed justified.
Users must not engage in the following acts when using the service:
Providing false information or impersonating another person.
Changing information posted by the Company.
Infringing upon the intellectual property rights, such as copyrights, of the Company or other third parties.
Damaging the reputation or obstructing the business of the Company or other third parties.
Engaging in illegal or improper acts.
Users must comply with relevant laws, the provisions of these terms, service guidelines, and any notifications provided by the Company.
The Company provides services such as information and promotion of the "Gieok English" service and links to the partner company's website.
Services are provided in accordance with the regulations set by the partner company.
The Company may temporarily suspend the provision of services for significant operational reasons, such as system maintenance, replacement, or malfunction, communication interruption, etc.
The Company may change all or part of the services it provides due to operational or technical needs.
If there are changes to the content, usage method, or usage time of the service, the Company will post the reason for the change, the content of the changed service, and the date of provision on its website at least 7 days before the change.
The Company may provide users with various information deemed necessary during service use through methods such as announcements.
The Company may place advertisements on service screens or its website in connection with the operation of the service.
The Company has a partnership with a third party for the sale, payment, and course management of "Gieok English" lectures.
The Company may link users to websites operated by the partner company within the service. In this case, all activities, personal information processing, content usage, payments, and refunds on the partner company's website are governed by the partner company's terms and policies.
The Company is not responsible for any transactions, disputes, or disadvantages to the user that occur on the partner company's website.
The Company or a user who has caused damage to the other party by violating these terms is responsible for compensating for that damage. However, this does not apply in cases where there is no intent or negligence.
If the Company provides a partner's service through a partnership, the partner company is responsible for any damage caused by the use of that service.
If a user's illegal or violating acts cause a third party to file a claim for damages or other objections against the Company, the user must indemnify the Company at their own responsibility and expense.
The Company is exempt from liability for the provision of services if it is unable to provide or if the provision is delayed due to natural disasters or force majeure events.
The Company is not responsible for service interruptions caused by the user's fault.
The Company is not liable for the use of services provided free of charge, unless otherwise provided by relevant laws.
Any lawsuits filed between the Company and the user will be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Disputes between the Company and the user will be brought to a court of competent jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
These terms are effective from August 15, 2025.
